Tournament Teams

Tournament Team Selection Process

(This process will take place of the existing ALL STAR selection procedure.)

Parents have the right to decline their child’s participation in post season play.   Managers must get parental approval of participation prior to the team nomination and selection process.

a)   Only teams to be selected are those entering sanctioned “Little League" tournaments. If sufficient players exist, there may be one "Little League" Tournament Team for 9/10 year olds, 11 year olds, 11/12  year olds, Junior, Senior and Big Leagues in both Boys and Girls' Divisions.  In addition, teams may enter tournaments sponsored by organizations that CBC may be associated with such as Tri-T Baseball and Softball.  The CBC Board of Directors will determine and/or approve the entry of said teams into these tournaments.

The intent is to select the best team possible to represent CBC in each division.

b)   Managers will be chosen by the executive committee, based on past and current performance as a manager and tournament team manager, coaching experience, and the overall history of volunteerism and support of the CBC.

c)   All managers and regular season coaches will meet, openly discuss and make player recommendations to the Tournament Team manager.  Decisions to be based on skill of player per position, as well as overall talent.

d)   The tournament Team Manager will make final decisions for player selections.

e)   This completed list of players will be given to the Player Agent for review.

f )   Player Agent must approve ...

g)   President must approve ...

In the case where the Player agent and the President  may need additional information pertaining to these decisions, the Executive Board will assist in the process.

h)   Managers will have 48 hours to verify the roster with parents.  Any changes will require the approval of the Player Agent and President.

note:  1.    Any questions or disapproval of the manager or player selections will be referred to the President.

2.       Teams may not be announced before June 15.

3.       Managers, coaches and players must commit to all team activities.  No member listed on the team’s roster will be permitted to miss team activities and practice, without the manager’s authorization.  This  includes vacation, from  June 15th until the last tournament of their division.

4.      A manager may replace any player not able to participate due to injury  (according to LL rules).   Player Agent, President and Little League District Administrator must approve of all roster changes.

6.      Any changes in said roster must not involve any other CBC "LL" Tournament teams.

7.     Commissioner and Player Agent must be aware and approve of all player discipline.   An unruly or disruptive parent of any tournament team will be cause for the CBC Board to have the player removed from said team without warning.

8.     Any regular season manager or coach, not involved with the selected Little League Tournament Teams may establish a team to compete in post season tournament play, providing all players of that roster did register and  play that season with the CBC. If need be, CBC will help by furnishing baseball equipment, establishing practice times on the CBC fields, and advising in the tournament process.  Managers will recruit their own team players without the guidance of the CBC Board.  Managers will comply with the CBC rules of conduct when participating in these tournaments under the CBC name.
